Below are answers to the most common questions regarding our PCB/PCBA manufacturing services. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, feel free to contact our engineering team.

1. Quotation & Ordering

Q1.1: What files do I need to provide for a PCB/PCBA quote?

Far far away, behind the word Mountains far from the counPCB Quote: Please provide your Gerber files (RS-274X format) and a detailed specification list (including layers, material, thickness, surface finish, solder mask color, etc.). PCBA Quote: In addition to the PCB Gerber files, please provide a complete Bill of Materials (BOM). The BOM should list all components with Manufacturer Part Numbers (MPNs), quantities, and any specific sourcing instructions (e.g., "Use only TI components" or "Allow alternatives").tries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmark

Q1.2: How long does it take to get a quote?

We aim to provide quotations within 6-12 hours during working days. Complex projects (e.g., 20+ layer boards or high-mix low-volume PCBA) may require additional engineering review time.

Q1.3: Do you offer free DFM (Design for Manufacturability) checks?

Yes. We perform a free DFM check on all PCB and PCBA orders before production begins. If we find potential issues (e.g., trace spacing violations, thermal relief problems, or missing footprints), our engineering team will contact you to discuss solutions.

2. PCB Manufacturing Capabilities

Q2.1: What are your standard PCB manufacturing capabilities?
Our standard capabilities are designed to cover the vast majority of industrial and commercial applications:
  • Layers: 1 to 32 layers (Multilayer).
  • Materials: FR4 (TG130, TG140, TG170, TG180), High-Frequency materials (Rogers, Taconic), Metal Core (Aluminum, Copper), and Ceramic.
  • Board Thickness: 0.1mm to 10.0mm.
  • Copper Weight: 0.5oz to 6oz (standard); up to 20oz for Heavy Copper PCBs.
  • Min. Hole Size: Mechanical drilling: 0.15mm (6mil); Laser drilling (for HDI): 0.075mm.
  • Surface Finish: HASL (Lead-free/Leaded), ENIG (Immersion Gold), Immersion Silver, Immersion Tin, and OSP.
Yes, we manufacture Rigid-Flex PCBs. Capabilities include:
  • Stack-up: 1+N+1, 2+N+2, 3+N+3, and complex mixed constructions.
  • Materials: Polyimide (PI) flex layers with FR4 or Metal stiffeners.
  • Features: Controlled impedance, microvias, and press-fit connectors.

3. PCBA & Component Sourcing

Q3.1: What types of component sourcing services do you offer?
We offer three sourcing models:
  1. Full Turnkey: We source all components based on your BOM. We verify availability and lead times, offering substitution suggestions if necessary.
  2. Partial Turnkey: You provide specific “key” components (e.g., MCUs, FPGAs), and we source the rest (resistors, capacitors, etc.).
  3. Consignment: You provide 100% of the components. We handle the kitting and assembly.

We have a dedicated procurement team with access to global distribution channels. For obsolete parts, we will search for functional equivalents or suggest alternative components that meet your electrical specifications. We do not use counterfeit parts; all components are verified upon arrival.

  • SMT (Surface Mount Technology): We handle packages down to 01005 and fine-pitch BGAs (Ball Grid Arrays). Our placement accuracy is ±0.03mm.
  • THT (Through-Hole Technology): Automated insertion and wave soldering, as well as manual soldering for selective areas.
  • Mixed Technology: We can process boards requiring both SMT and THT assembly.

4. Quality Control & Testing

Q4.1: What quality standards do you follow?

We are certified under ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949 (Automotive), and ISO 13485 (Medical). Our production adheres to IPC Class 2 and Class 3 standards unless otherwise specified.

We offer a range of testing solutions to ensure reliability:
  • AOI (Automated Optical Inspection): Used post-SMT and post-DIP to check for soldering defects (bridging, tombstoning, missing components).
  • X-Ray Inspection: Used for inspecting BGA solder joints and internal connections.
  • ICT (In-Circuit Test): Electrical testing of individual components (resistance, capacitance, voltage).
  • Functional Testing (FCT): Testing the board’s performance in a simulated operating environment.
  • Burn-in Testing: Optional stress testing under high temperature and voltage.

5. Shipping, Logistics & NDA

Q5.1: Do you sign NDAs (Non-Disclosure Agreements)?

Yes. We understand the importance of protecting your intellectual property. We are happy to sign an NDA before you send any Gerber files, BOMs, or design specifications. This is standard practice for all our new clients.

We ship globally using carriers such as DHL, FedEx, UPS, and TNT. Shipping times depend on the destination and service level chosen (Express or Standard). We provide tracking numbers for all shipments.

  • PCB Prototypes: 24 to 72 hours (depending on complexity and finishing).
  • PCBA (SMT): 3 to 5 days for prototype assembly after component procurement.
  • Mass Production: Lead times vary based on order volume and component availability. We provide a specific schedule upon order confirmation
